Dr. Jessica Mumme of Heart in Hand Pediatrics recently led an interactive health education session for a brownie Girl Scout troop at Northshore Park. During the program, children learned about germs, handwashing, and healthy habits through engaging stories, live demonstrations, and hands-on activities using real pediatric medical equipment. A special germ-tracking exercise demonstrated how quickly germs can spread and highlighted the importance of proper hygiene. Each child received a small take-home gift, and participants enjoyed the opportunity to meet a pediatrician while learning how doctors help children stay healthy.
