Dr. Jessica Mumme of Heart in Hand Pediatrics visited Brownie/Daisy Girl Scout Troop 108018 at The United Way for an interactive health education program. The scouts learned about germs, handwashing, and healthy habits through stories, demonstrations, and hands-on activities using real pediatric medical equipment. A special “germ tracking” activity showed how quickly germs spread and how proper hygiene keeps us healthy. Each child received a small take-home gift, and students were excited to meet a pediatrician and explore how doctors help children stay well. Dr. Jessica has been a Girl Scout Leader for many years!
